BWE Foundation welcomes Annemarie Rolls as Chief Executive Officer, commencing on July 2, 2012.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Annemarie Rolls as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Business Working with Education Foundation (BWE Foundation).
Annemarie has, for the past 8 years, worked at ACER (Australian Council for Educational Research). Her first 5 years were in the role of Sales and Marketing Manager for ACER Press and the past 3 as General Manager and Publisher. This role has included business development nationally and internationally, being integrally involved in developing the publishing list and supporting a large team. Enhancing the education experience of all young people and the development of school leaders and educators generally, has been the foundation of this publishing program.
Prior to joining ACER, Annemarie worked as an independent consultant with roles including curriculum development and delivery of funded programs for disadvantaged young people; arts management; public relations; event management; editing, writing and brand management. She has studied and worked in the US, Fiji, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia.
Annemarie is passionate about the power of learning and the support of young people to enable them to access education in its entirety.
We are delighted that Annemarie has taken up this offer. She is currently completing her role as General Manager/Publisher ACER Press at Australian Council for Educational Research and will begin at the BWE Foundation on Monday 2 July, 2012.

In today’s fast paced interconnected world, we all need to be flexible and responsive to adapt and thrive in the face of change. Education is no different.
Increasingly, business and education leaders are recognising that a holistic education extends beyond the classroom. The future of today’s children and young people is everyone’s responsibility, and in everyone’s interest.
The BWE Foundation connects the corporate, philanthropic and non-profit sectors with the government school system. This provides children and young people with the networks, resources and opportunities to reach their full potential, so they can excel at life.
